For Ari he received posthumously British Furniture Manufacturers' most prestigious distinction "Show Piece of the Year" in 1973. For many years, Arne Norell was a concept in the European furniture world and a number of models were manufactured under license in other parts of the world.
Arne Norell was versatile. He took advantage of successful combinations of materials. Turned wood, bentwood, support leather, fabric, leather and metal of varying compositions build up their furniture, all characterized by a combination of comfort and ease. Many of the models he designed came into production after his death and is manufactured by the same company, now under the name Norell Möbel AB.
